Team development - Team building

If you want to achieve good results, you need to have a high performance team around you. This is true regardless if you are in business or sports. In order to be able to create a high performing team, my experience is that the team members need to understand themselves, who they are, what drives them, what their strong sides are - and they need to understand the same things about their colleagues and team players. What they are good at, why they react in a certain way, what makes them tick or not. You need to create understanding and trust.

This doesn’t happen by itself and it doesn’t come easy. You need to build it up step by step, depending on your current situation and the composition of your team.

I have tried to build my teams like this during my 25+ year career within the Supply Chain trade and I know I have to depend on a professional partner to help me along this journey.

At my time at LEGO, I had the pleasure to work together with Profound at to separate occasions, with two separate teams. I enjoyed the open and flexible approach Profound came into the task with and their ability to create tailored solutions, including both traditional and untraditional methods and techniques. Leadership Team development in Kina

"In my role as General Manager for LEGO i Hong Kong, I hired pro:found for developing my Leadership Team, and I was quite curious to see just how pro:found would handle a Team of Chinese Leaders. The consultant had a talk with all the members of the Team prior to the actual development process, and spent most of day  "warming them up", by discussing chinese culture and cultural differences to the Western world.

Towards the end of day one and particularly the beginning of day two, my leaders started to participate enthusiatically, and step by step they opened up with regards to talking openly about themselves and their colleagues in the Team.
